Seva – selfless service
What I would love to see you all do is slowly clear the deck. You have the opportunity to restore your own spirituality by helping people. Service to humanity. Service to all of life. That is the way to God – that is the one way you can clear this karma that impairs your vision of God.
Volunteer with us
Seva is selfless service offered without expectation of result or reward. Seva helps to ground us in the present moment, and can help us to overcome feelings of doubt, anxiety and lack of purpose. It is a great way for reducing the weight of our own karma (karma yoga).
We are building up a seva team to support the ashram with the day to day running and to make Somaskanda Ashram a welcoming and uplifting place for pilgrims. Everyone is welcome to join in – you don’t need any experience, just a willingness to help. We can provide any training and equipment needed.
