In July we started the construction of the gopurum. The temple house was opened on the east front and a wooden arch was inserted for stabilisation of the house and the shaping of the gopurum. A massive marble floor plate was put in place. The wooden egg-like shape of the gopurum was then mounted in two pre-fabricated pieces followed by the erection of the outer wall of the gopurum and the altar niches on both sides.
